4 lakh 35 thousand people in the age group of 18-44 in the district will be vaccinated in a phased manner.

The first dose of COVID vaccine will be provided on 17 May to people in the age group of 18 to 44 years in the district. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Rigveda Thakur while presiding over the meeting called for the preparation of vaccinations of the District Task Force. He said that the Kovid vaccine will be put up in various health centers of the district from 10 AM to 4 PM on 17, 20, 24, 27 and 31 May i.e. Monday and Thursday.
On this day people above the age of 45 will not be vaccinated.

He told that vaccinations of people above 45 years of age will not be done on the day of vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years.
He said that many people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have got their registration done on the COVID portal, but it is mandatory to get slot booking after registration. Slot booking can be done only two days before the above dates. Without slot booking, no person can come to the Vaccination Center. For this, the portal will be opened only 48 hours in advance i.e. on May 15 for the vaccination to be done on the day of 17 May. Similarly, booking 18 for 20 May, booking 22 for applying vaccine on 24 May, booking for 27 May on 25 May and booking for receiving vaccine doses on 31 May on 29 May. After booking the slot, an SMS will be sent to the beneficiary’s mobile, which will contain the date, time and the name of the health center for the vaccine.
Vaccination will be done in 31 identified centers.

The Deputy Commissioner said that these dates will be vaccinated in 31 centers of the district. Vaccination will be provided to only 100 people in each center in a day so that unnecessary immunization and social distance can be maintained at the vaccination center. In this way, in five days till May 31, the first dose of corona vaccine will be provided to 15,490 persons in the age group of 18 to 44 in the district, whereas there are about 4 lakh 35 thousand persons of this age group in Mandi district. He informed that all people of this age group will be vaccinated in a phased manner. In this way, only 100 people will be able to book slots on the COVID portal for a center on each scheduled date. He informed that no registration and slot booking will be done at the vaccination center. He urged people not to visit vaccination centers without slot booking.

These centers will be vaccinated on May 17

He informed that on May 17, at the two centers of Vijay Senior Secondary School, Mandi, Civil Hospital Sundarnagar, Jogendranagar, Sarkaghat, Dharampur, Sandhol, Padhar, Kataula, Nagavai, Bagsyad, Gohar, Janjhali, Karsog, Kotli, Pangana and Ladbhol, Lal Vaccination will be done in 31 centers including Bahadur Shastri Medical College, Nairchouk, Primary Health Center, Chowk, Baggi, Cholathra, Kanad, Samaila, Chatonda, Fatehpur, Leda, Jhungi, Community Health Center, Balichowki, Dahar, Baldwada and Rewalsar.

On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Devendra Sharma laid the outline of the ongoing vaccination in the district, while District Health Officer Dr. Dinesh gave detailed information about the process of vaccination for people in the age group of 18 to 44 in the district.
