After corona, black fungus also declared epidemic, growing graph of cases becomes worrisome

After the Central Government declared Black Fungus as an epidemic, the State Government has also declared the disease as an epidemic. On Saturday, a notification was issued by the Health Department in this regard. Along with the corona infection, a large number of black fungus patients are also appearing in the state. Patients suffering from corona infection as well as people who have emerged from corona are also suffering from this disease. So far two people have died of this disease in the state. Cases of this disease are increasing in many other states of the country as well as the state. In view of this, now the Center and the State have declared this disease as an epidemic. After the notification of the state government in this context, the rules will apply for Black Fungus like the Corona under the Pandemic Act.

Every hospital will have to provide information

After the black fungus has been declared an epidemic, now all government and private hospitals will have to inform the CMO office about the patients of this disease. Along with this, all the rules related to the epidemic will also apply to this disease. No hospital can refuse to treat patients with this disease. If the government feels the need, then the hospitals under its control can be declared as a dedicated hospital.
Confirmed in 65 patients
The infection of black fungus in the state is increasing rapidly. So far 65 cases of this infection have been reported in the state. Out of which 61 patients have been found in AIIMS Rishikesh alone. So far two patients have died in the state after the black fungus. After the black fungus corona is now rising as a new challenge and that is why the government has also notified the disease as an epidemic.

Private hospitals will not get medicines

Black fungus medicines will not be given to private hospitals in the state. In the SOP issued by the government regarding the treatment and supply of the disease, it has been said that the medicine will be given only after payment to the medical colleges and district hospitals. It is known that the black fungus drug amphotericin B is undergoing a severe shortage. Ever since the number of Black Fungus patients is increasing, this medicine is not available in private.

But all these injections are finished. After this, injections are no longer available with hospitals or the Directorate General of Health.

Director General of Health Dr Trupti Bahuguna said that 500 injections have been demanded from the center. Apart from this, 7500 injections have also been sought for AIIMS. He said that the medicine will be allocated to the patients as soon as they arrive.
