The second phase of IPL-14 can be held in UAE in September-October
The second leg of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) may take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September-October. The 14th edition of the IPL was postponed after several players were found to be Corona positive after a dent in the bio bubble during the Delhi and Ahmedabad stages. There are still 31 matches to be held in the tournament.
The BCCI now wants the remaining matches of the tournament to be held in the UAE. In the year 2020 also, the 13th edition of the tournament was held in the UAE itself and was very successful. The Indian team is reaching England for the World Test Championship final on June 2 and a five-match series with England. India is scheduled to play the Test Championship final in June and the Test series will be played thereafter.
There is a 9-day gap between the second and third Test matches of the series with England. The BCCI wants this gap to be done for four or five days, so that it will get four or five days to organize the IPL.
For this, double headers will be held for four weeks. In this way, 16 matches will be done in 8 days and then the organizers will get a lot of time for the conclusion of the tournament. The BCCI may make a necessary announcement on May 29 in relation to the second leg of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is to have a special general meeting (SGM) on the same day.
The BCCI unofficially requested the England and Wales Cricket Board to reduce the days of the upcoming five-match Test series. The series ends in 41 days. The ECB has not provided any confirmed information in this regard. What is his stand on this, it can also be announced in SGM.
