Uttarakhand : Curfew will continue, will get some relaxation

Dehradun : There is a possibility of partial relaxation in Covid curfew in Uttarakhand from June 1. The government may decide to increase the opening hours of the shops and open more than one day in a week. Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh, State Government Spokesperson Subodh Uniyal and BJP State President Madan Kaushik etc. have received such signs. At the same time, Congress state president Pritam Singh has also advocated to increase the time of ration-grocer shops.
In such a situation, it is believed that the government may also consider opening the market three days a week, in the face of increasing pressure from traders and the possibility of Corona infection due to excessive crowds in the markets one day. However, there is no demand from the concerned sectors, nor has there been any such indication from the government about what exemptions can be found in other sectors. However, it is also clear that the state government will not give any relaxation in the Containment Zone. The Central Government has ordered to continue strictness in the Containment Zone till June 30.

On Saturday, Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh, after meeting Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat after office bearers of Vyapar Mandal, claimed that on his demand to increase the time of opening and closing the shop three days a week, the Chief Minister took action on it. Trust is given. At the same time, the state government spokesman Subodh Uniyal has said that the government will take a decision after considering all the aspects regarding Covid curfew in the state. Demands for partial easing are arising. All these things are in the cognizance of the government. Whereas BJP state president Madan Kaushik said that a committee of experts has been formed at the state government level, which will take a decision regarding Covid curfew. The government is also eyeing the relaxation given in other states.
It may be mentioned that though the number of Covid infected is decreasing in the state, but there are still 387 containment zones in 12 of the 13 districts of the state. The largest containment zones are 70 in the plains districts, Dehradun and Uttarkashi 62 in the hilly districts. Apart from this, 55 are in Tehri, 45 in US Nagar, 29 in Haridwar, 29 in Champawat, 10 in Pithoragarh, 17 in Pauri, 19 in Champawat, 25 in Rudraprayag, 18 in Almora and 8 in Nainital.

It would also be expedient to say here that Uttarakhand is called a tourism state. The economy of the state depends on tourism on a large scale. These activities have also come to a complete standstill. Intra-state as well as inter-state traffic is also badly affected in the state. Due to this, many people associated with tourism at the lower level have been faced with the situation of starving. The same situation prevails with daily eaters. Even the help of sporadic 5 kg flour-rice and half-a-kilo pulses and oil from the social workers is not able to reach the throat of their children.
