One day state mourning declared on the death of former Mauritius President
The Government of India declared one day state mourning on the death of former Mauritius President Anerood Jugnauth. The government has said that a day-long state mourning will be observed on Saturday in honor of Aneroodh, who brought his last breath.
Former Mauritius Prime Minister Jagannath breathed his last at the age of 91.
As in the protocol. The tricolor will remain half-masted across India on Saturday and there will be no official entertainment program from the government on that day.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has condoled the demise of former President of Mauritius and former Prime Minister Aneroodh Jugnauth. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Shri Jagannath of Indian origin had played a very important role in building modern Mauritius.
