Lucknow : Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel held a review meeting of Siddharth University Kapilvastu Siddharth Nagar and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, regarding new education policy, time-bound distribution of degrees, complete transparency on academic posts. Along with recruitment, audit objections, time bound disposal, construction works, women empowerment activities and vaccination in universities, etc., discussed online from Raj Bhavan today. Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, Shri Mahesh Kumar Gupta, Officer on Special Duty, Education Dr. Pankaj Jani, Vice Chancellors and officers were present in the online meeting.
Governor Anandiben Patel, while discussing the academic session, instructed to conduct examinations in a phased manner in the session 2020-21 or to give promotion next year, he said that the university should conduct academic activities by making a time table for the upcoming academic session 2021-22. Send your suggestions as soon as possible for the successful implementation of the new education policy so that it can be considered meaningfully. Governor instructed to work with complete transparency according to the new uniform selection process for recruitment to vacant educational posts and said that if necessary, the posts should be re-advertised. He said that the universities should keep their financial records as per the rules and timely disposal of audit objections, he directed that they should always keep their cash book and balance seat updated. While reviewing the various construction works being carried out in the university, he directed to complete them in a phased manner at the earliest.
Anandiben Patel said that after the convocation, all the degrees should be made available to the students immediately. He said that the universities give the degrees to the affiliated colleges, but the distribution work is not completed by them on time, so it would be appropriate that this work It should be prepared by bringing digital for which all the information of the students should be recorded.
While discussing the empowerment of women, the Governor said that the Women’s Study Center established in the university, women empowerment, self-reliance, health, education, nutrition etc. Along with various social evils prevalent in the society like dowry system, gender discrimination, child marriage etc. Conduct awareness programs so that they can be eliminated. He said that in the just-held Panchayati elections, a large number of women heads have come by electing them to instill confidence in them and to run training programs to eliminate hesitation, as well as inform them about the welfare schemes run by the government so that they can implement the schemes in their Gram Sabha. Along with implementing and getting 100% vaccination, make it malnutrition and tuberculosis free gram sabha. Inspire them to take the cooperation of self-help groups, self-help organizations and eminent citizens of the Gram Sabha for this work. The Governor said that universities should not remain merely institutions for imparting education. They should also actively contribute to social causes. Women and girl students should also be made to visit government offices, women’s hospitals, Nari Niketan etc. so that they can be aware of the problems in future life and solve them successfully. The Governor said that the university should conduct other activities for the all round development of the students. Organize Yoga Day on 21st June. In preparation for the massive tree plantation campaign run by the state government, universities should plant 1 lakh peepal saplings with the cooperation of the colleges affiliated to them. In addition to making other universities aware of the innovations taking place in the university, provide education, sports and nutrition material to the children of Anganwadi center, adopt children suffering from tuberculosis, motivate the children who drop out in the middle to go to school and Do it.
