Gold strong, silver broken
Due to the strength of yellow metal overseas, the domestic level also increased the brightness of gold, while silver remained in decline. In the MCX futures market, gold rose by Rs 115, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 49,258 per 10 grams. Gold Mini also rose by Rs 112 to Rs 49,023 per 10 grams.
Silver fell by Rs 218, or 0.30 percent, to Rs 71,599 per kg. Silver Mini was down by Rs 163 to Rs 71,676 per kg.
In the international market, spot gold rose $ 0.10 to $ 1,898.85 an ounce. US gold futures for August also rose by $ 0.90 to $ 1,899.70 an ounce. Silver spot slipped by $ 0.07 to sell at $ 27.81 an ounce.
