Zverev enters semi-finals with easy win
Germany’s Andrei Zverev, seeded sixth, produced a scintillating performance to beat Spain’s Alejandro Davydovich Fokina in successive sets to enter the men’s semi-finals of the French Open, the world’s second Grand Slam.
Zverev defeated Fokina 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 in a match that lasted one hour and 36 minutes to reach the last four. Fokina was able to present a slight challenge to Zverev in the first set itself but he could win only two games in the next two sets. Zverev took the victory in just one hour and 36 minutes.
