Jammu & Kashmir : 13 officials suspended for unauthorized withdrawal of money

The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended 13 officials for unauthorized withdrawal of development funds. An order issued by the Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department said that these officers had withdrawn funds from e-FMS (Electronic Financial Management System) accounts without any authorisation.
The suspended officers include two Assistant Commissioners of Development (ACD) and eight Block Development Officers (BDOs) belonging to the Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS).
It has been said in the order that till the disturbance is not investigated, the suspended officer will be attached to the office of the Director Rural Development Department.
Unauthorized withdrawal of funds by these officials has been reported from various Block Development Offices in Baramulla and Anantnag districts of Kashmir division.
