TKM partially resumes operations at Bidadi plant

Automobile maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor has partially resumed its operations at its Bidadi plant in Karnataka. Accordingly, a partial resumption of operations began. Working at 50 per cent prescribed workforce strength, TKM will restart its operations as well as enhance the training of all employees for the new normal, both in terms of facilities and processes.

Regarding manufacturing, the company said that it is trying to ensure that all possible measures are taken to resume production at the earliest, so that the immediate mobility needs of our customers are met at the earliest.

The company said that our focus will be on fulfilling the pending orders which could not be fulfilled due to non production days of the planned annual maintenance shutdown after the announcement of lockdown by the state government.

In addition, we are focusing on immunization of our employees as well as their families and extend our support for vaccination to dealer and supplier employees to ensure lower risk and severity of infection, the company said.
