Himachal Pradesh : Industries Minister calls on Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers
Shimla : Industries Minister Bikram Singh met Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers D.V. Sadananda Gowda.
He apprised the Union Minister that Himachal Pradesh has submitted competitive proposals for Bulk Drug and Medical Device Park to the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India. He urged to announce the decision regarding these parks at the earliest so that API prices are stable and consequently import substitution will also be ensured.
He informed Mr. Gowda that at present 700 pharma companies are functioning in the state and Himachal has emerged as the biggest pharma hub of the country. He said that the industrial package approved by the Government of India for the hill states has led to extraordinary industrial development in the pharma sector of Himachal Pradesh.
The Union Minister assured to take up the issues presented by Bikram Singh with the concerned ministries.
