Uttarakhand : CM reviewed the schemes related to the areas of Dehradun district

Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat reviewed the implementation of the announcements made for various assembly constituencies of Dehradun district at the Secretariat on Tuesday. In the review meeting, Cabinet Minister and MLA Mussoorie Shri Ganesh Joshi, former Chief Minister and MLA Doiwala Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat, State Congress President and MLA Chakrata Shri Pritam Singh, MLA Vikasnagar Shri Munna Singh Chouhan, MLA Sahaspur Shri Sahdev Singh Pundir, MLA Dharampur Shri Vinod Chamoli , MLA Raipur Shri Umesh Sharma Kau, MLA Rajpur Shri Khajan Das, MLA Dehradun Kent Shri Harbans Kapoor were present. The Chief Minister while approving the proposals related to the improvement work of internal roads, drinking water, construction of tube wells, provision of sewerage and drainage, flood protection works etc. in all the Legislative Assemblies gave instructions to the concerned officers to expedite their construction. The Chief Minister directed to prepare proposals for taking policy decisions for undergrounding the drains in different areas of Dehradun. The Chief Minister also directed that the construction of roads should be expedited in the areas of Dehradun where encroachments have been removed. In this, the works of removal of electric poles and drainage etc. should also be completed on priority. He directed to include the proposal for improvement of Minas Atal road under Chakrata Vidhan Sabha in the CRF scheme. Along with this, instructions were given to expedite the works of other roads and drinking water schemes of the area.

The Chief Minister asked to complete the work related to the construction of bus stand at Doiwala in 15 days and speed up the work of power sub-station at Ranipokhari, flood protection work near CIPET and strengthening of drinking water schemes in different areas. During the review, the Chief Minister has given approval to the moving schemes of all the assembly constituencies and asked to start work on them at the earliest. He said that the proposals for the schemes for which funding is to be arranged from ADV should also be prepared soon. Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagoli informed that out of 45 announcements made by the Chief Minister for Mussoorie assembly constituency, 32 mandates have been issued while the rest is in progress. Similarly 5 out of 7 for Dehradun Cantt, 23 out of 25 in Vikasnagar, 19 out of 22 in Raipur, 11 out of 14 in Rajpur Road, 35 out of 41 in Chakrata, 34 out of 55 in Sahaspur, 54 out of Dharampur. Mandates have been issued for 19 out of 211 schemes of Doiwala and 11 out of 25 schemes of Rishikesh and action is in progress on the remaining. Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Shatrughan Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Vardhan, Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shri SN Pandey, S.A. Murugesan, Mr. Sushil Kumar and other officials were present and District Magistrate Dehradun was present through video conferencing.
