More than 70 universities of the country participated

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, more than 70 universities of the country participated in the national competition organized by Red Ribbon Club at DIT University. More than 200 students, teachers and non-teaching staff from all over the country participated in this competition and eminent professors from Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Doon University acted as judges. The results were announced through Google Meet. In this competition, Shamli Akolkar (Maharashtra) got first position, Smit Soni (Gujarat) got second position, and Pradeep and Raj Rishi Singh (Uttarakhand) got third position in this competition. In the Professor category, Dr. Rajesh Verma (Haryana) and RC Nayak (Rajasthan) stood first, Supriya (Gujarat) second and Mahua Mukherjee, Anoma Modak, Dr. Tiny Dutta (all West Bengal) and Anoushka Prajapati (Uttar Pradesh). took third place. In non-teaching category, Vikrant and Shalini (Karnataka) got first, Lubna Beg (Karnataka) got second, Bhuvan Joshi (Uttarakhand) and Varsha Kripalani (Karnataka) got third position. Apart from this, the idea of ​​yoga in Islam was presented by Mahkash, a student of B.A. This program is coordinated by the Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Arun Pratap Singh, students of B.A. done by. On the other hand, the closing ceremony of the seven-day yoga festival organized by Ori DIT University and NSS unit of UPS in collaboration with Uttarakhand Ayurveda University was organized. The program was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of DIT University N Ravi Shankar with his address. He said that all the students joining the festival of International Yoga Day today should give a special status to Yoga in their lives. So that their intellectual and physical development and a new inspiration to move forward in life. Chief guest in the program Arvind Pandey, Minister for School Education and Youth Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand said that NSS is making a very important contribution in the development of the state. In which volunteers are giving their special in the COVID vaccination awareness campaign. The units located in the mountains are involved in various works including cleanliness campaign, covid vaccination campaign and awareness campaign. He appreciated the contribution made by all the students, officers and teachers of the three universities. In the morning on the occasion of Yoga Day, Acharya Vipin Joshi made all the students and teachers practice yoga as per the instructions received by the Ministry of AYUSH. Dr. Naveen Singhal, Chief Proctor from DIT University welcomed all the guests. Dr. Shaili Singhal, Amar Shukla, Dr. Shilpi Agarwal, Shivam Bhatt etc. from UPES were present in the program.

Uttarakhand / Dehradun: A heart wrenching incident has come to light from Vikasnagar in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Where a young man killed his own mother and fled from the spot. Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
