Rumors of OTT deal worth Rs 200 crore for Liger, the film will come in theaters
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey’s pan India film Liger has been in the news for quite some time. Famous producer Karan Johar is producing this film. Recently news came out that this film will be released on OTT platform. It was told that the film has received offers worth Rs 200 crore to release on the OTT platform. Now the film’s lead artist Vijay has termed such reports as rumours.
Vijay on his official Twitter handle has denied any deal for the digital release of the film. He wrote in his Twitter post, this is very little. More than this, we will earn in theatre. Recently there were reports that Rs 200 crore has been offered to release this film directly on the OTT platform. It was told that the makers are considering this offer.
Vijay has earlier spread his acting skills in films like Dear Comrade and Arjun Reddy. Now he will be seen in the role of a fighter in this film. The film is to be released on 9th September. At present, the release date of this film has not been changed. However, recent media reports have claimed that the film will not be able to release this year due to the Corona pandemic.
Recently, Vijay’s first look from Liger was released, in which he was seen in a strong avatar. This film of Karan’s production is directed by Puri Jagannath. The film will be released in five languages Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Vijay and Ananya are working together for the first time in a film. Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Vishnu Reddy are going to be seen in important roles in Liger.
