Petrol costlier by 35 paise, diesel by 37 paise

There was a big hike in the prices of petrol and diesel today, after which petrol in Mumbai crossed Rs 104, Chennai Rs 99 and Delhi Rs 98 per liter. Diesel has also gone up to Rs 96 per liter in Mumbai. Oil marketing companies increased the price of petrol by 35 paise and diesel by 37 paise in four major metros of the country. Earlier on Friday, the prices of both fossil fuels were stable.

According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol and diesel in Delhi increased by 35-35 paise today. After this increase, petrol reached the highest level of Rs 98.11 and diesel Rs 88.65 per liter here.

So far in June, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased by Rs 3.88 and that of diesel by Rs 3.50. Earlier in May, petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42.
Petrol price in Mumbai increased by 33 paise to Rs 104.22 per liter. It has crossed Rs 104 for the first time. Diesel became costlier by 37 paise to a record high of Rs 96.16 per litre.
In Chennai, petrol became costlier by 31 paise by Rs 99.19 and diesel by 34 paise at Rs 93.23 per liter. In Kolkata, petrol became costlier by 34 paise and diesel by 35 paise. One liter of petrol there costs Rs 97.97 and diesel for Rs 91.50.

Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
