Uttarakhand : All arrangements should be completed in view of possible third wave: CM CM held review meeting on control of COVID -19 epidemic and COVID vaccination through VC
Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat reviewed all the districts through video conferencing regarding the progress of COVID-19 epidemic and COVID vaccination at the Secretariat on Friday. The Chief Minister inquired about the updated status of vaccination and control of COVID epidemic from all the districts. During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that all arrangements should be completed in view of the possible third wave. He directed to ensure the arrangement of oxygen beds, ICU beds in sufficient quantity in the medical units of all the districts. He said that all the arrangements should be strengthened during the time given for preparation before the third web of COVID. In view of the rainy season, arrangements for ambulances should also be made between the sensitive places identified for the disaster. Kovid care center should be made at CHC level also. The facility of oxygen beds, ICU beds and ventilators will have to be increased further in Dehradun and Haldwani. There is a rapid increase in the number of patients at the peak of COVID in Dehradun and Haldwani. The Chief Minister also directed to ensure arrangements for medicines and masks and equipment etc. according to the children. He said that distribution of supplements, nutrition etc. should be ensured at the earliest through ASHAs. Testing should also be arranged in primary health centers. Micro-containment zones and contact tracing should be continued continuously. The Chief Minister said that people should be constantly motivated to give more speed to the vaccination. Persons with disabilities and elderly people who have not yet completed their vaccination should be identified. Vaccination should be done by organizing camps for them by the District Magistrates. Awareness campaign should be run continuously to control COVID . Awareness programs should be conducted involving local celebrities and dignitaries in this. The Chief Minister said that the State was getting all possible help from the Central Government for vaccination and other health facilities. He also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this. Chief Secretary Shri Omprakash also directed to ensure arrangements for testing etc. at the border in view of the possibility of increasing the crowd in view of the opening of the lockdown in future. Taking updated information about the arrangement of testing etc. at the entry point, he directed that arrangements for social distancing and compliance of COVID Appropriate Behavior should be chalked out in the market. He said that the distribution of ivermectin must be completed by June 30. Social distancing should be ensured. The Chief Secretary said that awareness programs should be organized for vaccination. In the meeting, Chief Adviser to Chief Minister Shri Shatrughan Singh, DGP Shri Ashok Kumar, Secretary Shri Amit Negi, Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister Shri J. Sundriyal, Director General of Health Dr. Tripti Bahuguna, Kumaon Commissioner Shri Arvind Singh Hyanki, Garhwal Commissioner Shri Ravinath Raman, all District Magistrates, SSP and CMO were present through video conference.
CM approved an amount of 131.75 lakh for the rehabilitation of the disaster affected
The Chief Minister has approved an amount of Rs 131.75 lakh for the rehabilitation of disaster affected families of Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat has given Rs.85 lakh for the rehabilitation of 20 disaster affected families of village Sener of Tehsil Munsiyari of Pithoragarh, Rs.29.75 lakh for rehabilitation of 07 families of village Kanar Tok Jimtara in Tehsil Dharchula as well as Tehsil Kanda of Bageshwar district. An amount of Rs 17 lakh has been sanctioned for the rehabilitation of 04 disaster affected families of Seri village.
