This time for Chardham Yatra, separate registration will not have to be done in the Tourism Department and Transport Department. The government has made its entire process online, after which the entire process will be done from a single website. It is going to be launched soon.
Till now, while the transport department used to issue green cards to commercial vehicles, they also had to register separately with the tourism department. To solve this problem, changes have been made in the portal on the instructions of the government.
Now the pilgrims will get full facility of registration on the website of either transport or tourism. They do not have to register separately. The data that the tourism department will get through the website will also be useful for transportation and the transport data will also be of use to the tourism department. According to Transport Secretary Dr. Ranjit Sinha, the new system will give a lot of relief to the pilgrims.
The exercise of registration of private vehicles also
This time the government is going to start the facility of trip card for the pilgrims going by private vehicles on Chardham Yatra. With this it will be able to know that how many people have traveled to Chardham by commercial vehicles like taxis, buses and private vehicles.
