Delhi : Fire broke out near Casualty Ward in AIIMS, Fire engines controlled
A fire broke out in a store room on the ground floor near the casualty ward of Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital on Monday.
According to information received from South Delhi Police, the PCR got information about the fire in AIIMS at 5:15 am. When policemen reached the spot, it was found that smoke was coming out of a store near the casualty ward. The patients were evacuated safely after the fire incident.
He said that seven fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. Now the situation is completely normal. There have been no casualties in the incident. The casualty ward has been reopened for the patients, the official said. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire.
