Uttarakhand : Demanded to increase old age pension to three thousand
Haridwar : Senior civil society organization has sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister through City Magistrate and has demanded to increase old age pension to three thousand monthly. In the memorandum sent to the Chief Minister, it has been told on behalf of the officers of the organization that the Uttarakhand government is providing monthly pension of only Rs.12 hundred to one of the aged husband and wife in the form of maintenance allowance. Which is insufficient in this era of inflation. Whereas the Haryana government is giving a minimum monthly pension of Rs 25 hundred separately to both the aged husband and wife. Which is also increased from time to time. The Uttarakhand government should provide three thousand monthly pension to the old couple separately. So that they can feed themselves properly. Along with this, for the living of the old people who are living a lonely life, make arrangements for their maintenance by building old ashrams in each district and tehsil. Among those who sent the memorandum were Vidyasagar Gupta, Yogendra Singh Rana, PC Dhiman, Chaudhary Charan Singh, SCS Bhaskar, Hardayal Arora, NC Kala, KP Sharma, Babulal, Tarachand, Premkumar, Bhopal Singh, Sitaram, Karmaveer Singh, SN Batra etc. Be involved.
