It is alleged that the person who has given the waterfall on lease by KMVN has blocked the way by building a gate there and he is also charging the tourists going to the homestay to see the waterfall. Let us tell you that Dhokane Waterfall is located in Kulgarh Gram Sabha, this natural waterfall is a tourist attraction center. The road leading to this waterfall and the way to Bhagwant Kumar’s homestay is the same and 100 rupees are being charged from the people who go through this route by putting a gate. The complainant Bhagwant Kumar has taken a loan for self-employment on his land near the waterfall and constructed a restaurant and a homestay at a cost of 20 lakhs and the contractor to whom the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam has given a lease, he also receives waterfalls from the tourists visiting the homestay. is charging a fee to visit Bhagwant Kumar’s homestay which is affecting the business. After the investigation of the Tehsildar on the complaint, the SDM sent the report to the DM, ordering the removal of the gate. According to the Tehsildar’s investigation report, the way to reach here goes through the road leading to the waterfall, but the KMVN contractor has put a gate on the way and is charging an entry fee of Rs 100 per person. The homestay operator had filed a suit in this regard in the civil court Nainital, where the civil judge Savita Chamoli had also ordered not to charge the people coming to the homestay to see the waterfall, but Bhagwant Kumar says that in the homestay Still, the fee is being charged from the visitors. On the other hand, village head Kumoli Tarun Kandpal says that Saurabh Chauhan, the person who took Dhokane Waterfall on lease, has illegally occupied government land, which he has complained to the administration. At the same time, he also says that Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam has given this land on lease but he is not able to show the papers of this land and when there is no document then on what basis Dhokane Waterfall was given on lease.
