Israel arrests Palestinian human rights lawyer
Israeli security forces have arrested a Palestinian human rights lawyer after a protest in the West Bank. Human rights group has given this information. In a statement issued here today, the Independent Human Rights Commission (ICHR) said Mr. Fareed al-Atarash was arrested early Sunday at an Israeli outpost in East Jerusalem as he was returning from a protest against the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah.
He said Mr al-Atarash was sent to Israel’s Hadassah Hospital and asked to be released from police custody immediately. According to the commission Mr al-Atarash was arrested on his way from Ramallah to Bethlehem.
