Landslide kills three in Japan

The death toll from a landslide triggered by heavy rain in the city of Atami in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture has risen to three.

Two people were killed and 23 people were rescued by rescuers in a landslide that occurred last morning. The death toll has risen to three after a woman injured in the landslide died. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said the landslide had left several people missing and damaged some 130 houses.
