According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, after 39,796 new cases of corona were reported in the country in a day, the total number of people affected by this disease increased to 3,05,85,229, while the death toll after the death of 723 more patients. has increased to 4,02,728. The mortality rate from infection is 1.32 percent. At the same time, the patients treated in the country have also come down to below 5 lakhs. The number of cases under treatment has come down by 3,279 in a span of 24 hours. At present, there are 4,82,071 active patients of Corona in the country. In the last 24 hours, 42,352 patients of Corona have been cured. This was the 53rd consecutive day when the number of people recovering from Corona exceeded its new cases. At the same time, the rate of patients recovering from corona in the country has also increased to 97.11 percent. So far, a total of 2,97,00,430 people have been cured of corona in the country. The weekly infection rate is still below five per cent and is currently at 2.40 per cent. It is now only 1.58 percent of the total infected. At the same time, the daily infection rate has also been staying below 5 percent for 28 consecutive days. So far, more than 3 crore people have been infected with corona in the country, while the total death toll has also reached 4.02 lakh. According to ICMR, 15,22,504 sample tests were done for corona virus in India yesterday. At the same time, a total of 41,97,77,457 sample tests have been done so far.

The number of infected in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and more than 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on 16th September, 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November. In the country, these cases crossed one crore on December 19, crossed two crore on May 4 and crossed three crore on June 23.

2.01 crore unutilized doses in the states

The Union Health Ministry on Monday said that over 2.01 crore unutilized doses of COVID-19 vaccines are still available with states, union territories and private hospitals. The ministry said that over 36.97 crore doses have been made available to the states and union territories from all sources so far. A total of 34,95,74,408 doses were consumed, including wasted vaccines. The ministry said that the central government is committed to increase the speed and scope of COVID-19 vaccination across the country. The new phase of vaccine universalization began on June 21.
