Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Demand from DFO to get demarcation done from Survey of India in Dhaula beat

Under the Land Conservation Forest Division, Kalsi, the Assistant Forest Employees Union has made a demand to the DFO to demarcate the boundaries of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in Dhaula beat of Timli range. On Monday, a delegation of employees met DFO SP Sharma and demanded a demarcation from the Survey of India. Along with this, the employees also demanded the resolution of many other problems. The employees told the DFO that due to non-demarcation of the boundary of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh under Dhaula beat of Timli range, many times a situation of conflict arises. Forest smugglers and mining mafia take advantage of the absence of demarcation. Practical problems also arise in front of the patrolling forest department team. Therefore demarcation should be done by Survey of India. Along with this, the employees demanded to fix one year’s time for posting on the barrier and two years for the appointment of forest inspectors in the section. Also told that the post of Forest Beat Officer, which has been lying vacant for a long time in Dhaula Beat, should be posted. Told that in Timli range, new employees are being deployed by replacing the daily charged employees working for the last several years. From a human point of view, this step is not good. Removal of employees who have crossed the age of fifty years will create employment problems in front of them. Along with this, a demand was also made from the DFO to get the uniforms to the FEEDAL employees. The delegation included President of Assistant Forest Employees Union Kalsi Branch Deepak Uniyal, Secretary Vishan Singh, Dinesh Kothari, Pradeep Chauhan, Vipendra Panuli, Dheeraj Kotnala, Pawan Rawat etc.
