Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Villagers demanded from Cabinate Minister to set up ration card camp

Villagers of more than one hundred villages of Kalsi block are not getting ration due to lack of online registration of ration cards. The local youth have submitted a memorandum to the cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat demanding a camp to get the ration card online in Sahiya. The villagers told the minister that they had to make rounds of Vikasnagar to get the ration card made and online. Despite going 50 km away from home, their ration cards are not made on time. Due to overcrowding in Vikasnagar block headquarters, many times villagers have to camp there for two days, which increases their financial burden. Told that hundreds of families of more than one hundred villages are deprived of ration due to non-availability of ration cards. Complaints have been made many times from the Regional and District Supply Officer to the District Magistrate, but no one is paying attention to the problems of the villagers. The villagers, through a memorandum, have demanded the cabinet minister to set up a camp in Sahiya for making ration cards. Kamlesh Bhatt, Amar Singh Chauhan, Sanjay Sharma, Billu Singh etc. were among those who submitted the memorandum.
