Andhra Pradesh : Theatres, gyms, function halls will open in Andhra Pradesh from tomorrow
The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission to open cinema halls, restaurants, gymnasiums and function halls from Thursday.
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy allowed these relaxations in a COVID review meeting.
However, relaxation in limited curfew continues in East and West Godavari districts.
Curfew has been relaxed in both these districts till 7 pm.
The government decided to continue with these restrictions till the positivity rate of COVID falls below 5 percent.
Meanwhile, the COVID curfew has been relaxed till 10 pm. In all other 11 districts, business establishments are required to be closed by 9 pm.
After the relaxation is over, the COVID curfew will resume in all districts from 10 pm onwards.
The government mandated that a seat should be left vacant between the occupied seats in cinemas, restaurants, gyms, function halls and others.
Similarly, wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer is also part of the COVID protocol.
During the review, officials told Reddy that 15,000 oxygen ventilators are ready for deployment if needed.
The Chief Minister directed the officers to focus on vaccination, giving priority to the teachers.
So far, AP has vaccinated 1.28 crore people, of which 96 lakh have received single-shot vaccination and 32.5 lakh have received both shots.
