Okaya forays into electric two-wheeler segment
Inverter and battery maker Okaya Group has forayed into the electric two-wheeler segment. Okaya Power Group’s electric vehicle division, Okaya EV has unveiled a range of electric 2 wheelers.
In addition, it has started experience centers in Delhi and Jaipur.
The company’s electric two wheelers are available in four variants, both in VRLA lead acid battery and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery.
Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Okaya Power Group, said, “With two state-of-the-art R&D centers exclusively for electric vehicles in India and abroad, Okaya EV is uniquely positioned to bring electric 2 wheelers and the bikes of the future.
Further, to ensure uninterrupted supply of these electric 2 wheelers, we aim to open showrooms as well as distribution and service centers across the country.
The company has already set up a manufacturing plant at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh with its plans to start another plant in Haryana for uninterrupted supply of these state-of-the-art electric two wheelers.
In addition, it has also announced the launch of three more manufacturing plants spread over 34 acres in Neemrana from 2023 to 2025.
