Uttarakhand : CM Dhami distributed ministers’ portfolios, kept 15 departments with himself
Continuing the process of taking fast decisions, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday distributed the portfolios of the ministers. CM has only 15 departments with him. Most of the other important departments have been distributed among the ministers. In the fifth year of the BJP government, the state has also got a separate health minister in the form of Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. Till now this department used to stay with the CM only. Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu issued the order of departmental work on Tuesday afternoon. The CM had 20 departments in Tirath Sarkar, whereas the present CM has kept only fifteen departments with him. All the important departments are distributed among the senior cabinet ministers. After the CM in the cabinet, now cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj is the minister with the most departments. Maharaj has eight departments including irrigation, loan, tourism. Whereas in terms of departmental numbers, Harak Singh Rawat and Subodh Uniyal will look after seven departments. Yashpal Arya and Arvind Pandey have been given six departments each and Banshidhar Bhagat and Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat five departments each. Bishan Singh Chufal, Rekha Arya, Ganesh Joshi and Swami Yatishwaranand have got four departments each.
