Uttarakhand : Newly appointed Chief Secretary took charge
Meeting with officers up to the level of Additional Secretary, including high officials of the government
Newly appointed Chief Secretary, Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu took charge as the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Chief Secretary Shri Sandhu took charge from outgoing Chief Secretary Shri Omprakash. After assuming charge, Chief Secretary Mr. Sandhu held a meeting with the top officials of the government including the officers up to the level of Additional Secretary. Chief Secretary Shri S.S. Sandhu said that public welfare schemes can be brought to the ground and maximum people can take advantage of those schemes, we will have to make efforts for it. He said that every scheme is started with a very good objective, but what is its outcome after the completion of the scheme is not taken into account. He said that due to the completion of a scheme, special attention should be paid to whether the objectives of that plan could be achieved or not.
The Chief Secretary said that the filing system should be shortened so that the benefits of the schemes could reach the general public on time. He said that efforts should be made to go to any file in the least number of levels. We have intelligent, hardworking and intelligent people available at all levels. You need to believe in them. He said that the subordinates should be given responsibility for disposal of files at their level so that the disposal of files could be expeditiously. Regular meetings should be held up to the level of the Section Officer so that the benefits of the schemes reach maximum number of people.
The Chief Secretary said that employment has been affected the most due to COVID. Efforts will be made by the state government to generate maximum employment. The situation has improved in the state on the outbreak of COVID. To maintain this, there is a need to take constant precautions by all of us.
On this occasion Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi, Shri Anand Vardhan, Smt. Manisha Panwar, Principal Secretary Shri R. K. All the officers of Secretary and Additional Secretary level including Sudhanshu were present.
Better law and order priority of the state government: Chief Secretary
Chief Secretary Shri S.S. On Tuesday, all the high officials of the police department had a courtesy call on Sandhu in the secretariat. Chief Secretary Shri Sandhu said that better law and order is the priority of the State Government. Crime and law and order are better in the state. He said that the police department should be people friendly at the level of public dealing so that people do not hesitate to bring their problems to the police. On this occasion, high officials of the Police Department including Director General of Police Ashok Kumar were present.
