The Other Backward Classes Cell of the District Congress Committee has sent a memorandum to the CM expressing displeasure over not reserving a single post for the Other Backward Classes in the recruitment of 39 posts taken out in Pauri district by the state government. He has demanded to reserve the post for the Other Backward Classes by amending it immediately.

In a memorandum sent to the CM through DM on Tuesday, Congress’s OBC District President Congress Shivcharan Bhandari said that a few days ago a release was issued by the state government for Patwari recruitment. In which a total of 39 posts are to be recruited in Pauri district, but not a single post has been reserved for other backward classes. Whereas a large section comes from the Other Backward Classes in the district and a large area of the district which comes under the Srinagar Legislative Assembly has been declared an Other Backward Area. Even after that, justice is not being done by the government to the OBC class and this type of discrimination of the government with the OBC class will not be acceptable. Said that the manner in which the government is ignoring the OBC class of Pauri district by isolating the OBC class, it is not justified at all. He has demanded the government to add the posts of OBC category by making immediate amendments in the release. District Vice President Ashish Negi, State Secretary NSUI Mohit Singh etc. were present in giving the memorandum.
