Petrol and diesel prices increased for the second consecutive day
Oil marketing companies increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the second consecutive day today. Petrol price increased by up to 39 paise per liter and diesel by 15 paise in four major metros of the country today.
According to the leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi increased by 35 paise to Rs 100.56 per liter. Diesel price also increased by nine paise to Rs 89.62 per litre.
The current sequence of increasing the price of petrol and diesel started on May 04. Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.41 and diesel by Rs 8.45 in May and June in Delhi. In July, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.75 and that of diesel by 46 paise per liter.
In Mumbai, the price of petrol was increased by 34 paise and that of diesel by nine paise. There now petrol has become Rs 106.59 and diesel Rs 97.18 per liter.
In Chennai, petrol became costlier by 31 paise to Rs 101.37 and diesel by nine paise to Rs 94.15 per liter.
In Kolkata, petrol became costlier by 39 paise and reached Rs 100.62 per liter. There the price of diesel increased by 15 paise and a liter of diesel was sold for Rs 92.65 per litre.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
