Rupee breaks seven paise

Mumbai, 08 July. Rise in crude oil The rupee today fell by seven paise in the interbanking currency market and at the close of trading one dollar was found at Rs 74.62. Indian currency has lost 31 paise in two days. On Tuesday, it was down by 24 paise at Rs 74.55 per dollar.

The rupee was under pressure from the beginning today. It slipped five paise to open at Rs 74.60 per dollar and remained in the range of Rs 74.59 per dollar and Rs 74.79 per dollar throughout the day.

the close of trading, the rupee declined by seven paise to close at 74.62 per dollar.
In the international market, the rupee came under pressure due to the rise in crude oil. London’s Brent crude futures rose 1.5 percent today. This weakened the rupee. However, the rally in the stock markets did not allow the rupee to slide much.
