The stock market exploded as soon as it opened
Domestic stock markets fell heavily in early trade today and BSE’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex fell by more than 300 points. The Sensex, which closed at 52,568.94 points, down about one percent on the last trading day, opened on Friday with a fall of 60.70 points at 52,508.24 points and fell to 52,228.01 points, down about 340 points in a few minutes. At the time of writing the news, it was down by 225.77 points at 52,343.17.
Along with banking and financial companies, selling in giants like Reliance Industries and TCS added to the pressure on the market. Buying is taking place in medium and small companies at present.
The Nifty opened at 15,688.25 points down by 39.65 points and lost nearly 95 points to 15,632.75. It was at 15,652.50 at the time of writing the news.
