He told the journalists through the video statement of the Chief Minister of the state that this is only an election gimmick of the BJP talking about giving free electricity. Just like Amit Shah says there should be a jumla before the elections, similarly this 100 units of free electricity is only an election jumla. Amit Joshi said that we used to think that this announcement will be like a jumla till the elections, but within 24 hours of the statement of Energy Minister Harak Singh, the CM has cleared it will prove to be only an election jumla. BJP does not want to provide free electricity in the state. He said that the Energy Minister would announce 100 units of electricity free of cost, but within 24 hours the CM would say, no proposal has come yet, no plan. With this evasive attitude, it became clear that the BJP is only playing rhetoric in view of the upcoming elections and has no intention of providing free electricity to the people of the state.
