More than 58.7 lakh cases of COVID-19 in Africa

The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said that by noon the number of confirmed cases of Kovid-19 in Africa had reached 5,873,990. The African Union’s special health agency, Africa CDC, said the death toll from the pandemic stood at 150,517, while 5,117,334 patients across the continent had recovered from the pandemic.

In terms of coronavirus cases, southern Africa is the most affected region, followed by the northern and eastern parts of the continent, while Africa is the least affected region in the continent, according to the CDC.
