Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi. The Chief Minister informed about the efforts being made by the state government to increase the income of the farmers in the state. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to make the grant admissible to the Himalayan and North-Eastern States in the CSII (XDVSTTDDHTHL-II) of the National Cooperative Development Corporation to 40 per cent instead of 20 per cent. The Chief Minister said that with this the cooperative institutions of the state would be able to bear the loan amount. This will help the cooperative societies to be established as business units. On this occasion Chief Secretary Dr. s. Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli were also present.

Requested to increase the budget allocation of Uttarakhand state from Rs.89 crore to Rs.150 crore for solid waste management projects under Swachh Bharat Mission-2. The Chief Minister, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami met the Union Minister, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, in New Delhi. The Chief Minister urged to release the remaining central share for the processing and disposal schemes of 08 legacy waste / old dump sites of 07 municipal bodies of the state. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to increase the budget allocation of Uttarakhand State from Rs.89 crore to Rs.150 crore for solid waste management projects under Swachh Bharat Mission-2 so that the above schemes could be implemented under solid waste management at the earliest. . The Chief Minister said that with the guidance and cooperation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, efforts are being made by the Government of Uttarakhand to fulfill the targets set under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban seriously. According to the instructions of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, the total cost of DPR for processing and disposal of 08 legacy waste / old dump sites of 07 municipal corporations of Uttarakhand state is Rs 126.53 crore, approved by SHPC (State High Power Committee). It has been sent to the Government of India for approval. An amount of Rs 48.78 lakh has been released by the Government of India for DPR for processing and disposal of 08 legacy waste/old dump sites of the above 07 municipal bodies. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission-2, a budget allocation of Rs.89 crore has been made by the Government of India to the state of Uttarakhand for solid waste management projects. About Rs 126 crore is required for processing and disposal of 08 legacy waste/old dump sites and other municipal bodies of 07 municipal corporations of Uttarakhand state and about Rs 24 crore for solid waste management plans of other bodies. 89 crore to the budget allocation of Uttarakhand state for solid waste management projects under Swachh Bharat Mission-2, while releasing the amount of remaining central share from the Union Minister for processing and disposal schemes of 08 legacy waste / old dump sites of the said 07 municipal bodies.
