Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Naveen Kaushik said that the CM office gherao program in Dehradun was a complete success for the demand of Aam Aadmi Party to provide free electricity and water to the people of Uttarakhand. Naveen Kaushik said that thousands of AAP workers from all over the state participated in the gherao. Naveen Kaushik said that Uttarakhand is a state full of natural resources. In Uttarakhand, electricity is being produced in abundance and sold to other states. Despite this, huge amount of electricity is being charged from the consumers of the state. Whereas the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi is providing free electricity to its consumers by purchasing electricity from Uttarakhand. Water is also available in plenty in the state. Therefore, electricity and water should be provided free of cost to the people of Uttarakhand. Naveen Kaushik said that in view of the increasing popularity of Aam Aadmi Party among the people of Uttarakhand, in view of the assembly elections, the BJP government of the state is talking about giving 100 units of electricity free of cost. He said that instead of giving 100 units of electricity free of cost, consumers should be given free electricity. Water should also be provided free of cost. Instead of collecting huge bills, the government is neither giving full electricity nor giving water. Farmers are unable to irrigate crops due to lack of electricity. Domestic consumers are facing huge problems. Naveen Kaushik said that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Uttarakhand, high level medical facilities would be provided to the public along with providing free electricity and water. Education opportunities will be made available to all by making changes in the government education system on the lines of Delhi.
