Wimbledon: Djokovic beats Shapovalov, will face Berrettini

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia defeated 10th seed Canada’s Denis Shapovalov to reach the final of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, where he will face Italy’s Matteo Berrettini. Djokovic entered the title match by defeating Shapovalov 7-6(3), 7-5, 7-5 in the semi-final match that lasted two hours and 44 minutes. Djokovic is also one step away from his sixth Wimbledon title.

Djokovic won 81 percent from his first serve. He made eight sends and 33 winners in the match while making 15 sends. Shapovalov, on the other hand, made 35 blunders.
In Sunday’s title match, Djokovic will face seventh seed Berrettini, who has reached a Grand Slam final for the first time.
