Rajasthan : Lightning fell on the watch tower, 11 people died

Jaipur : Amidst the torrential rain late last evening, the celestial lightning fell as a thunderstorm on the watch tower in front of Mawthe in Amer. In the accident, 11 people who came for a walk on the watch tower were killed and about a dozen people were scorched by lightning. On information, the police, with the help of the rescue team, took the corpses and the scorched people in an unconscious condition to the hospital.
Police said that in front of Mawthe in Amer, a watch tower is built in the Aravalli hills at a height of about 500 meters. Since Sunday afternoon, it started raining heavily, due to which people reached for a walk at the Watch Tower. According to the incident, lightning struck the watch tower at around 7.30 pm in the midst of torrential rains. Due to which the people who came for a walk fell in the grip and fell unconscious. Police and civil defense team reached the spot on the information of the accident. There he saw dozens of people lying unconscious among the rubble. After running a rescue operation, everyone was brought down from the hill and immediately sent to the hospital.
Two teams were formed for the rescue. One team did the work of locating the dead and injured among the people buried under the rubble, while the other team worked to bring the injured and dead down the hill. Doctors have said that 11 people have died in the accident, while about a dozen people are undergoing treatment for scorched due to lightning. The rescue operation ended at around 7 am on Monday. Police and Civil Defense team searched every corner, while search was also done with the help of drone camera.
