Uttarakhand : Demanded to waive tax for 2 years of transport businessmen
Haridwar : On reaching Haridwar, Urban Development, Housing and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Banshidhar Bhagat was accorded a grand welcome at the office of BJP leader and former member of Transport Authority, Rakesh Goyal. In the reception organized at the hotel located in Niranjani Akhara, BJP leader Rakesh Goyal apprised the Urban Development Minister about the sufferings of the transport businessmen and said that due to the Devbhoomi being the gate of Uttarakhand, a large number of transport and tourism businesses are involved in Haridwar. But at present the transport and tourism business is in a very pathetic condition. The transport and tourism businessmen facing the pathetic economic condition have been demanding tax waiver from the government for a long time. Tax waiver case is under consideration in the government. He demanded from the cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat that the government should take cognizance of this matter soon and waive the tax of two years of travel businessmen. On this the Urban Development Minister assured of positive action. Former Minister of State Sanjay Sehgal said that tourism is the main source of income for the traders of Haridwar, which is completely closed for the last two years. Businessmen related to tourism and transport are facing serious economic crisis. Therefore, relief should be given to the traders and according to the guidelines of the Central Government, instructions should also be given to the government to open the Chardham Yatra.
