Five killed, 10 missing due to torrential rains in China’s Shanxi province

In China’s Shanxi province, five people have been killed and 10 others are missing after torrential rains. The Provincial Emergency Management Department gave this information on Tuesday.

The torrential rains in Xinzhou city so far caused flooding in Taihui and Yantou townships, killing three people and injuring three, the department said.

He said Jincheng city received 268 mm of rain on Sunday. Two people have died here while 10 others have been reported missing. Houses have also been damaged by the rain.
