Madhya Pradesh : Approval of one thousand rupees additional monthly pension to Bhopal gas victim widows

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired the meeting of the Council of Ministers here today approved the proposal to start monthly pension of Rs. one thousand in addition to the social pension scheme for Bhopal gas victim widows.

State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra informed about the important decisions taken in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held at Mantralaya here. He said that the cabinet has approved the proposal to start one thousand monthly pension in addition to the social pension scheme to the widows of Bhopal gas victims. This pension scheme, started in the year 2013, was closed by the previous Congress government in 2019, which has been decided to start again by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.

Mishra informed that in addition to this, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, it has been decided to give the land given to newspapers in the Press Complex by Indore Development Authority again at the rates of 2007. Only the newspapers operating in this will get the benefit.
