Maharashtra / Chandrapur : 6 of the same family died due to generator smoke, one was in critical condition

In Chandrapur, Maharashtra, 6 people of the same family have died due to smoke from the generator while the condition of one remains critical. On receiving information, the neighbors rushed all the seven people to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared them brought dead. While one member is undergoing treatment. But his condition also remains critical. Actually, this accident happened at the house of Ramesh Lashkar in Durgapur area of Chandrapur district. After the lights went off at night, the family members started the generator with diesel. After that everyone fell asleep. Everyone slept in a deep sleep. Suddenly after midnight, carbon dioxide gas started leaking from the generator and the smoke could not come out as the windows and doors of the house were closed. Due to which the family members died due to suffocation. On getting information about the accident, the police reached the spot on Tuesday morning, but by then it was too late. The bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem. The deceased have been identified as Ajay Lashkar (21), Ramesh Lashkar (45), Lakhan Lashkar (10), Krishna Lashkar (8), Pooja Lashkar (14) and Madhuri Lashkar (20). Police said that if the family had kept a window open while sleeping at night, they might not have died. This mistake of the family led to his death. Because due to lack of ventilation, all the people stopped breathing due to suffocation in a short time.
