Google ends unlimited group video call support for free users
Google has ended the feature of unlimited group video calls for free accounts on its video calling app Meet. Users will now get only one hour for group calling.
According to an update on the Google support page, Meet users get a notification at 55 minutes of group video calling that their call is about to end.
The company has said in the update that, users can upgrade their Google account to increase the call, otherwise the call will end after 60 minutes.
One-on-one calls will be available for up to 24 hours and up to 60 minutes with three or more people.
However, an individual member of Google Work Places can make one-on-one calls and group calls with three or more people for up to 24 hours.
Google announced last year that anyone with a Google account can have free meetings with up to 100 people without any time limit during the pandemic.
Google announced last month that its unified communications and collaboration service Workspaces is now available to everyone with a Google account.
