Jammu and Kashmir : 3 terrorists including Lashkar’s Pakistani commander Huraira killed

An encounter broke out between Indian security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama sector this morning. The security forces had got information about the hiding of some terrorists here. In this encounter, 3 terrorists including Pakistani commander Ejaz Abu Huraira of Lashkar have been killed. A huge cache of arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the slain terrorists. However, the operation of the security forces is still going on. IGP Kashmir said that one of the slain terrorists is Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Pakistani commander Aijaz alias Abu Huraira. Along with this, two local terrorists have also been killed. Six terrorists were also killed in the encounter that took place last week. Six terrorists were killed by security forces in the state on Thursday, including two Pakistani terrorists in Sunderbani. In the Sunderbani sector of Rajori district adjoining the LoC, the army killed two Pakistani terrorists while foiling the infiltration. Two jawans including Naib Subedar were also martyred in the encounter, while one jawan was injured. Apart from Sunderbani, two terrorists were also killed in Pulwama and Kulgam in Kashmir.

On the other hand, the drone was once again seen near the International Border in Jammu at around 10 pm on Tuesday night. On seeing the drone, the Border Security Force (BSF) fired five to six rounds, after which it went back to the Pakistan border. In this matter, the BSF issued a statement saying that on the night of July 13 and 14, BSF jawans in Arnia sector noticed a twinkling red light flashing at a distance of 200 meters at around 9:52 am.

Alert BSF jawans fired towards the red light, due to which he withdrew. The area is being searched, nothing has been found so far. Several drones have been sighted in Jammu in the last few days after the drone attack on Jammu Air Force Station. This is the sixth time that a drone was seen hovering over Jammu after two blasts at the Jammu Air Force station in June last month. Two Air Force personnel suffered minor injuries in the blasts at the high-security Jammu Air Force Station, located about 14 km from the border with Pakistan.
