Jammu and Kashmir : Security forces deactivate IED in Kulgam
Vigilant personnel of the security forces defused a powerful explosive (IED) on detection of a major incident in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. According to the information received from the police, the patrol party of the security force spotted a suspicious object under a poplar tree on the outskirts of Damjen village of Qazigund area of Kulgam late last night.
He said that the security forces immediately cordoned off the entire area and called the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). The Powerful Explosives (IEDs) were later neutralized by BDS without any damage. He said that had it not been disabled in time, there could have been a huge loss of life and property. He said that action is being taken by registering a case at Qazigund police station.
