England’s original team returns for T20 series against Pakistan after completing isolation

England’s original white ball team, including captain Eoin Morgan, have returned for the T20I series against Pakistan. Just before the ODI series, the team had to go into isolation due to the Corona explosion, which is over now.
Before the ODI series against Pakistan, three players of the original team and four support staff members were found infected with Corona. For this reason the team was sent to Isolation. Due to this, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had to choose a modified team led by Ben Stokes for the T20 series.
The team was new, but it dominated Pakistan and won the series with a 3-0 clean sweep.
Players like Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali and Jos Buttler will also make a comeback in the T20 series against Pakistan. Paul Collingwood will look after the team as head coach Chris Silverwood goes on a break. Meanwhile, Stokes has been rested. Chris Woakes, Sam Karen, Mark Wood, Liam Dawson and Sam Billings, who played T20 against Sri Lanka, will also be out of this series.
Silverwood said of the selection, “In the T20 team we have selected, many of our most experienced players are coming back after the quarantine period. In addition, we have rewarded some of the players involved in 50 over series wins with selections which allows us to manage multi-format players as we prepare for the much-awaited Test series against India.
Silverwood has heaped praise on Stokes, who led the side to clean sweep Pakistan 3-0 in the ODI series. “I want to thank Ben Stokes and the players for their efforts over the past week and thank the counties for their support in making this series go as planned,” he said.
It is noteworthy that the T20 series between England and Pakistan will start on 16 July at Trent Bridge and will end on 20 July at Old Trafford.
