Padmashree folk singer Pritam Bharatwan released the Garhwali song Bada Bhaiji Nishank Pokhriyal, written and sung by Subhash Barthwal, Vice President of Youth Welfare Council and former Minister of State. While releasing the song in a program organized at Uttaranchal Press Club, Pritam Bharatwan wished Union Minister Nishank for his speedy recovery, describing him as the rare diamond of Uttarakhand. This song on the life of Nishank tells about his work from the struggle of his rural environment to the Union Ministry of Education. Barthwal told that when he was the Minister of State and Nishank CM then through Atal Chaupal, the Nishank government went directly to every Nyaya Panchayat at the door of the public. Those memories are also included in the song. His efforts for the new education policy have also been highlighted. The song has been released on Nanda Cassette’s digital channel and YouTube.
