Anurag Thakur launches official cheer song for Tokyo-bound Indian contingent

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur launched the official cheer song for the Indian contingent going to Tokyo in a virtual event. Minister of State for Sports Nisith Pramanik, President of Indian Olympic Association Narendra Dhruv Batra, Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association Rajeev Mehta, Director General of Sports Authority of India Sandeep Pradhan and CEO of Target Olympic Podium Scheme Commander Rajagopalan were also present in the event. The song titled ‘Hindustani Way’ is sung by young pop singer Ananya Birla and composed by veteran Indian musician AR Rahman.
Thakur congratulated the artists for coming together in tough times and creating this cheer song with full zeal. He said, I thank AR Rahman and Ananya Birla for this initiative. He has composed this song with full zeal and passion, he has worked very hard to make this song even during the crisis of Kovid-19. We have made this song to increase the enthusiasm of Team India. I sincerely thank all of them. Thakur said that I request everyone to share this song as much as possible.
Nisith Pramanik said that this song is another encouraging step in taking forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to cheer for the Tokyo-bound athletes in every possible way. Pramanik said, Shri Narendra Modi launched the Hashtag Cheer for India campaign for our Tokyo-bound athletes. The country came forward with great enthusiasm to support this call and show solidarity. I thank composer AR Rahman and youth icon Ananya Birla for composing this wonderful song.
