Uttar Pradesh / Lucknow : Speeding truck overturned on Maruti van in Lucknow, five people including innocent died on the spot, condition of three critical

With the help of the crane, the police personnel started seven rescues of the local people.

The speeding truck overturned on a Maruti van coming from the front at around 9.30 am on Friday near Tikri village on Itaunja-Kursi road. In the accident, the van got buried under the truck and five people including the innocent in the van died on the spot. There were a total of eight people in the van. Out of which seven are residents of Auras Nandoli village of Unnao district and one from Rasulabad police station area of Kanpur countryside. Jitendra Pratap Singh, Inspector-in-Charge BKT Yogendra Singh, outpost in-charge Mahingwa Shivakant Mishra and with the help of cranes reached the spot, police personnel started the rescue with the local people. After about two hours of rescue, everyone was rescued. SO Itaunja Jitendra Kumar Singh said that the van occupants were going from Unnao to visit the Mahadeva temple located in Barabanki district. In the van, Indra Bahadur Singh (60), his son Anuj Singh (22), Aryan Singh (18), Durgesh Singh (26), resident of Auras Nandoli village of Unnao district, besides Bhavani Singh (38), Babita Singh wife Bhupendra Singh resident Kanpur Dehat Rasulabad Laxmanpur Tilak and his son Arnav (3) were on board. Maruti van number UP 32 DW 2559 was going from Itaunja towards Kursi road, while truck number UP 15 DT 4320 was also going towards Kursi road . Meanwhile, the truck went out of control and overturned on the van. Mango was loaded up to the top in the truck. As soon as the information was received, the police force reached the spot. A crane was called in a hurry. With the help of the villagers, the people trapped in the van were rescued and sent to the local hospital. Where, the doctors, seeing the condition of Indra Bahadur, Anuj and Babita are critical, have referred them to the Trauma Center. While Arnav Singh, Aryan Singh, Ajit Singh, Durgesh Singh and Bhavani Singh were declared dead. The five bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
